Our kitchen sets us apart, our dishes are always genuine, abundant and succulent, and are able to satisfy even the most demanding gourmets. In our cozy Restaurant all tables are waited by a young and professional staff.
The daily menus suggested by our Chef will make you taste and enjoy the famous Calabrian specialties based on fish or meat.
In addition to our Chefs suggestions, in our Restaurant the hotel’s guests can enjoy (with an additional cost) a wide choice of other fish and seafood specialties from Calabria. The Restaurant “La Bussola” has wan the first Tropea Onion Festival, which is held in Ricadi every year on the 13th of August. Our staff has also taked part in national television programs like “La Vecchia Fattoria” or “La Domenica del Villaggio”. We have been in charge of planning the catering for the TV show “Gente di Mare” at the Port of Tropea. Our menu (for hotel’s guests) is always designed to offer light and easy to digest meals, and high quality service make the difference.
Our menu changes every day (at lunch and dinner) and offers a choice of 3 first couses (including always one tomato sauce pasta), 2 main courses (fish/meat), a selection of side dishes, fruit or desserts. Available upon request other alternatives.

The quality of the served food and the professionalism of management make the restaurant “La Bussola” one of the best restaurants in Calabria. For hotel guests, we have 3 comfortable lounge halls with a bar and a restaurant for guests who are not staying in the hotel. We also have a large veranda surrounded by the green nature, equipped with tables and comfortable chairs, and a cozy and quiet corner ideal for guests who want to enjoy glass of local wine, a cocktail, a good aperitif or long drink, or even a good Italian coffee or the typical “truffle of Pizzo” ice cream.
In this warm atmosphere we offer 500 diners the joy and refreshment of a banquet ceremony, in accordance with local traditions. Moreover an accurate wine list is at our guests’ disposal, the selected wines are the best D.O.C. wines from Calabria and from the rest of Italy. Pizza has a special place here at “La Bussola” ! Our pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven and it is prepared during the Calabrian night.

The Country Hotel Restaurant “La Bussola” has a 35 years experience in the restaurant industry and has therefore a high level of expertise in all banqueting aspects. Our Restaurant in Capo Vaticano, near Tropea, can satisfy the celiac and vegetarian customers’ needs "upon request".
We are one of the few restaurants in the area to prepare gluten-free and vegetarian foods. For celiac guests staying in the hotel, our chef (with any product supplied by you) are available to prepare meals required (prior arrangement and availability with management).
We offer you: a qualified staff that will accompany you and your guests, refined and tasty food presented with great care, accurate services, and a hall that and can accommodate over 250 people. We organize our famous “CALABRIAN EVENINGS” with a tasting of Calabrian typical products, accompanied dances and folk music of Calabria.
On fixed dates, during the “CALABRIAN EVENINGS”, you can watch the preparation of “RICOTTA CHEESE AND MONTE PORO PECORINO CHEESE” and taste these typical products, and you will also see the famous “DANCE OF THE GIANTS”
A rich and abundant breakfast with sweet and salty buffet (from May to October, long weekends and holidays) with warm croissants, chocolate, fresh milk, coffee, tea (various types), home-made cakes, fruit (according to season) shortbread biscuits, cereals, muesli, white yogurt, fruit juices, fresh bread, butter, homemade jams, organic honey, chocolate spread, salami, cheese, cake rusk and toaster. Hot drinks are provided by a professional machine with Nestle products. The machine prepares an excellent espresso coffee. The bar is open for the classic breakfast service (extra).
